Let’s Save the IC!
What’s the IC? For 12 years, the Shaker Heights IC (Innovative Center for Personalized Learning) has been a personalized, non-traditional "micro-school" within the Shaker Heights High School. It served a wide variety of students who thrived outside the traditional campus. But in March of 2026, the Shakerite broke the story that the IC would be shuttered, effective at the end of the school year. Let’s #savetheic together!

If you’re a Shaker Heights resident, you can join more than a thousand of your neighbors and sign our online petition. You don’t have to be a parent, or have any connection to the district.
Maybe you’ve seen our yard signs around! For a suggested donation of $10 (to cover your sign and part of someone else’s) your house can show your support. Not a yard sign person? Consider a Save the IC shirt or hoodie!
